At the Auditorium of the INSTIPER Yogyakarta, dated August 12, 2016 has held the Opening Lecture for the Scholarship Program Technical Training Palm Plantation Equivalent Diploma I cooperation between INSTIPER, BPDP-KS and Apkasindo attended by a number of invited guests (stakeholder INSTIPER) and lecturer INSTIPER.
Almost all Indonesian agricultural products are less competitive with other countries except the "PALM". Until 2016, oil palm plantations Indonesia reached 11.66 million ha which consists of smallholder plantations as many as 4.76 million ha (40.8%). Ironically productivity palm oil plantations CPO only 2-3 tonnes / ha / year, while the private estates has reached 6 jt ton / ha / yr.
Based on the above, the Agency Fund Manager of Oil Palm Plantation (BPDP-KS) of the Finance Ministry provides scholarships to children of Indonesian palm oil farmers and farm workers in the form of a "Technical Training Scholarship Program Palm Plantation Equivalent Diploma I".
For the first generation of this program selected 200 students from 11 provinces (North Sumatra, West Sumatra, South Sumatra, Jambi, Riau, Lampung, Bangka Belitung, East Kalimantan, South Kalimantan, Central Kalimantan, West Papua). The students are the sons and daughters of the people and the oil palm farmers will carry out lectures (theory and practice field) in Instiper for 9 months. He expects that the sons and daughters of oil palm farmers will be able to be cadres of the People's Oil Palm Plantation sustainable.
On the occasion, also organized a Public Lecture on the topic: "Oil Indonesia, Lebih Berkelanjutan" by Dr. Krisnamurthi, M.Si- president director BPDP-KS.
